Art | Tomoo Gokita at Mary Boone gallery by Jason Curtis Anderson

Tomoo Gokita's work combines fashion, portrait style photography and abstract design merged into one to create an aesthetic all of his own. These large scale black and white paintings have a feeling of old meets new, replacing certain sections with patterned designs, or abstracting completely into a more minimal geometric style. Now showing at Mary Boone gallery.
