Art | Wayne White at Joshua Liner Gallery by Jason Curtis Anderson

Wayne White is an American artist, puppeteer, illustrator, art director and much more.  In 1986, Wayne became a designer for the hit television show Pee-wee’s Playhouse which went on to win 3 Emmy's. About 5 years ago a friend of mine came across some of his word paintings in Los Angeles and I have been checking heavily for him ever since. "Invisible Ruler" is the name of his first solo show in NYC at Joshua Liner gallery. It showed a wide variety of skill set ranging from plays on classic american fine art to watercolor illustrations and a giant sculpture installation of the Louvin brothers. This was in my opinion the best solo show I've seen in NYC in 2014. Congrats Wayne, and thank you for all your hard work.
